The best way to reach Gir National Park from Junagadh is to follow Junagadh Road. You have to travel around sixty-five kilometers approximately via vehicle, and it will take one hour and thirty minutes.

Two other roadways will lead you to Gir, but those two are longer than the Junagadh Road. Via Airplane

The airports closest to Gir National Park are Rajkot and Keshod airports.The distance between Gir and Rajkot airport is about one hundred and sixty kilometers. Keshod airport, on the other hand, is closer. You will have to travel seventy kilometers from Gir to reach Keshod airport. However, if you are an overseas traveler, then the best way for you is to arrive at Mumbai airport. After reaching Mumbai, you will board another plane which will take you to the airport of Diu. From Diu, you will book a cab and ride for two hours to reach the Gir National Park. Instead of Diu, you can also board an airplane to Porbandar. A taxi ride from Porbandar to Gir will last for two to two-and-a-half hours.

Via Roadway

Traveling in a car on the road is much better than riding a train or flying. You can take in the natural scenery on the way. Most people prefer visiting Gir by commuting via the roadways. The roads of Gujarat are well-maintained, and the journey will be comfortable as well as an enjoyable one. The entire state of Gujarat has proper roadway connectivity from any of its cities to Gir. You can either hail a private vehicle or ride a state or private bus. Coaches ply between Gir and the important towns frequently every day.
