Satpura’s dense forests are composed of: Sal and teak trees, Bamboo groves, Rare medicinal plants and herbs, Shrubs and grasses, Aquatic Flora.
The park is a biodiversity hotspot, home to:
Mammals: Tigers, leopards, Indian bison, sloth bears, wild boars, spotted deer, and porcupines.
Birds: Over 300 bird species, including Malabar pied hornbill, Indian skimmer, and crested serpent eagle.
Reptiles: Crocodiles, Indian pythons, monitor lizards, and various snake species.
The best time to visit the forest is 15th October To 30th June. Although Panchmari is open throughout the year for visitors.
Madhai- Only 30 vehicles are permitted to enter this core zone per day, including the morning and late-afternoon drives. Ecotourism activities except vehicle safari include elephant ride, boat ride, canoeing and trekking.
Churna- In Churna zone, tourists can take their own pollution free, four-wheeled vehicle capable of going through the rough forest terrain.
Jamanidev, Parsapani- These buffer zones (near Madhai) of the tiger reserve can be visited through safaris by private vehicles. 14 vehicles in the morning and 14 in the afternoon are permitted to enter these zones.
Pachmari- This is a hill station containing waterfalls and some beautiful viewpoints, all of which can be reached by privately owned vehicles.

Steps to Book Online :- Visit the forest website Or authorized booking platform. Choose Satpura National Park and select the Jeep Safari option like Full Jeep / Sharing. Pick a suitable date and time either a morning or evening safari slot. Choose the preferred entry gate (Madhai, Pachmarhi, Churna, or others) and available safari zone. Provide the names, ages, and ID proof details of all visitors. The same ID must be carried during the visit. Complete the payment using available online payment options. After successful payment, a confirmation receipt will be generated, which must be shown at the park entry gate.
Offline Booking Process :- If you prefer, you can book the safari directly at the forest safari booking counter. However, availability is not guaranteed, so it’s best to book in advance.
Steps for Offline Booking :- Visit the nearest Forest Office or safari booking counter at the entry gate. Provide all visitor details and ID proof for verification.
