About Sasan Gir Safari :-

In Gir National Park there are approximately 13 routes. Jungle safari is randomly allocated on the routes by forest department. Sasan Gir Safari is organized by the department of forest. Gir National Park operates jungle safaris in three time slots . The First time slot of safari is 06:00 Am To 09:00 Am , Second time slot of safari is 09:00 Am To 12:30 Pm, Third time slot of safari is 03:00 Pm To 06:00 Pm. We always recommend that visitors always book Gir Safari in advance. The Safari timings may be changed depending on the season. The boarding / Reporting point for the jeep safari is Sinh Sadan, Reception Center, SH 26, Main Road, Sasan Gir, Gujarat 362135. Visitors need to report at least 30 minutes before scheduled Safari time.  Maximum 6 Adults (Above 12 Years Age) and 1 Child are allowed in 1 Gypsy below 12 years (3 Years - 12 Years). The best time to visit Gir National Park is from October to March. Best time for safari is early morning and late afternoons offer the best chances to spot wildlife.

100% of total Gir Jungle Trail safari permits are available online only, on spot booking is not allowed. Subject to availability.

• Advance booking starts 90 days before the safari date, so kindly book your gypsy as early as possible.
  
  
• Gir Jungle Trail safari will be conducted in an open gypsy. Gypsy offers 3 Hrs. Ride.
  
  
• Camera Fee: Rs. Approx 200 (Indians) & Rs. Approx 1400 (Foreigners) has to be paid before the safari starts. It may vary according to government order.
  
  
• Gir Jungle Summer Safari Time (1st March to 15th June): 6 AM to 9 AM, 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM, and 4 PM to 7 PM.
  
  
• Sasan Gir Jungle Winter Safari Time (16th Oct To 28th/29th Feb ): 6.30 AM to 9.30 AM, 9:30 AM to 12:30 AM, and 3 PM to 6 PM.
  
  
• The maximum number of visitors allowed in one gypsy is 6 adults (13yrs and above) and 1 child (12yrs or below). No charges for infants below 3yrs.
  
  
• Guest Details required for booking: Full name, age, gender, ID Proof (Passport/VoterID/Driving License/Aadhar Card) number of all the visitors. (Pan Card is not allowed And Government Employee Id Card is not allowed).
  
  
• Visitors need to compulsorily carry the same identity proof given at the time of booking, the forest officer will check before your safari. In case of any mismatch, your safari will not be conducted and no refunds will be given.
  
  
• Visitors are requested to reach Sasan Gir Reception Center (Sinh Sadan) at least 30 minutes before your scheduled safari time.
  
  
• Pick Up and Drop facility from hotel/resort (only up to 6 Kms)is available but at an extra cost of Minimum Rs. 1000.
  
  
• Gir Lion Safari remains closed from 16th June to 15th October every year
