Holiday Heights Manali is one of the largest properties in the region, built on a mountain face at the prime location, just 3 km from Manali city center. Surrounded by high mountain peaks, coniferous jungle in the backyard, Beas river flowing down in the valley, making it a perfect location for all kinds of vacationers including honeymooners, families, and corporates.

Personally owned hotel run by proprietor Mr. M.C Thakur and most of the staff from the locality, the property provides completely safe and secure atmosphere. Mr. M.C Thakur is also the proud owner of the first commercial cottage establishment of Manali i.e Holiday Cottages Manali, which was built in 1994. Mr. Thakur is one of the most experienced and successful hoteliers in the region with his engagement in the hospitality sector for over 23 years. Spacious rooms, atmospheric restaurant, beautiful lounge, rustic-style reception area, elevator, banquet facilities, meeting rooms, and wellness area round up a rich and pleasing variety of offers.

Holiday Heights is the newest addition to the Holiday family of cottages and resorts. Holiday Heights Manali is run by a local family headed by Mr. M.C Thakur, who has over a decade of experience in hospitality services. Holiday Heights Manali is managed by experienced professionals who have more than a decade of experience in tourism and hospitality services.

The Holiday Family of cottages and hotels was started as a homestay venture by Mr. MC Thakur a visionary. Seeing that Manali had suddenly become a hot tourist spot, he built the first ‘Holiday Cottage’ with three bedrooms in the year 1994. The cottage used to be rented out to families for months together who would prefer their own cooks.

He subsequently built another cottage in the year 2000 with three more rooms and expanded further with another cottage with four bedrooms in the year 2005.

Fourth Holiday Cottages with four bedrooms cottage was started in the year 2008 and one more 4 bedroom cottage was started August 2008 and another 4 & 2 bedrooms cottage was started in the year 2010. In the year 2010 Holiday Cottages was awarded Excellence in Services award by global site Trip Advisor. And has subsequently been awarded Certificate of Excellence by Tripadvisor in the years 2010,11,13,14 and 15.

Activities

  • White-water Rafting: River Beas runs across Kullu Valley presenting an exciting opportunity to get one’s feet wet. Commencing at Raison (18 km. South of Manali), the short duration run covers nearly 6 km. The longer 14 km. the run begins at Pirdi (45 km. South of Manali) & ends at Jhiri (Mid April to end of June).
  • Paragliding: Paragliding offers the prospect of getting a spectacular bird’s eye view of the area. On most clear days & almost year-round head to Solang Valley (14 km. North of Manali) for this activity. Other locations for Paragliding are Marhi, Hallan & Bijli Mahadev. Short, Intermediate & Long Distance Flight are the options. Novice clients are taken on a tandem flight with an experienced pilot. Flight duration may range from 1 minute to 30 minutes.
  • Skiing: The ski slopes of Solang Valley (14 km. North of Manali) are equipped with Ski lifts offering different Skiing & Snowboarding runs from January through end of March. Other locations also have varying degrees of snow from March to the middle of June, albeit without Ski lifts.
  • Rock Climbing: The area offers exceptional natural rock formations for indulging in this physically & mentally demanding sport.
  • Day Hikes: Stimulating short hikes to reward you with complete solitude in a span of a couple of hours.
  • Treks: Provided time is not a constraint, a wide range of longer duration treks with porters, ponies & camping with a host of amenities are the perfect escape.
  • Fishing: Snow and spring-fed streams & rivers of the area are teeming with brown and rainbow trout. The average size one can land is about one & a half lbs. going up to three pounds. There are numerous wonderful spots on River Beas.
  • Mountain Biking: A brilliant way to discover the region on different trails to suit different fitness levels.
  • Motorcycle Rental: Motorcycles in mint condition are available for those who wish to explore the area independently & at per own convenience.

  • By road: The drive is 570 km. from Delhi, from Chandigarh is 310 km & 265 km. from Shimla. From Delhi, the drive is covered in about 12 hours by car. Regular taxis to Manali also fly from these locations. Himachal Tourism & Himachal State Transport also run regular Luxury Volvo buses to Manali.
